Messy Church

Come and join us in St James as we learn more about Jesus and being a Christian

Messy Church is usually at 4pm in St James. Typically it includes a welcome, a long creative time to explore a theme from the Bible through having fun and getting messy; a short celebration involving story, prayer, song and games; and refreshments together at tables. And it's free! All ages welcome - no previous church experience necessary!

For more information contact our Parish Administrator - or Rev Heather Parbuy -

Sunday at Ten in St James

a Church of England Common Worship Service each week.

1st and 3rd Sundays are a Holy Communion service allowing us more time to look at our Bibles and explore what the scriptures mean to us today.

Noah's Ark

for Mums, carers, babes and preschools every Friday morning from 10am term time in St James. Noah's Ark is a special service for children between the ages of 0 and 5 years and their parents/carers. We have a worship time with a story, songs and shakers and a prayer, followed by refreshments and a craft activity and toys for the children.

We are around to offer help and support although responsibility for the children's safety in the church building always remains with parents and carers.

Noah's Ark began out of love to support mothers and others caring for very young children.  God gives his love freely to all of us and there is no charge.
